Audio: "Ode on Melancholy"
A couple of separate references to John Keats today led me to revisit "Ode on Melancholy." I'm not the biggest Keats fan, but this is an exceptionally fine poem.

Fine indeed.
Keats and Crane both died young, I see. Yeesh.
This poem gives me a shiver every time I read/hear it. Have always wondered why "Ode on a Grecian Urn" receives more play.
I think it's the aphoristic quotability of "truth is beauty" etc. Most people who quote it don't understand it very well, I think.
