Some Love for Kenneth Leslie
A new review of The Essential Kenneth Leslie is up on the book review website ForeWord Reviews. Very nice.
In other Kenneth Leslie news, I'll be in Ottawa on November 11, launching The Essential Kenneth Leslie, with help from superb Ottawa-area poets David O'Meara and Peter Richardson. The launch will also feature a screening of Chuck Lapp's excellent documentary about Leslie's life, God's Red Poet. The launch will be held at Ottawa Arts Court, 2 Daly Ave., with doors at 7 pm.
A wonderful thing about this event is that Leslie's daughter, journalist Rosaleen Dickson, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Dickson, will be in attendance. Elizabeth is presently writing a biography of Leslie.
UPDATE: David O'Meara unfortunately had to cancel. Fortunately, the city of Ottawa is blessed with many excellent poets and readers; Stephen Brockwell will now be joining me and Peter in reading Kenneth Leslie's work.
